YES!!! I support the City purchasing the Tower Theater. “Pastor” Anthony along with his gang of Proud Boys have terrorized peaceful protestors and very loudly do NOT align with the values of the Tower Community. If Adventure Church and all those affiliated are not interested in integrating into the community peacefully, then they do not belong in the Tower District. Simple.

I would like to express my support for the City of Fresno's purchase of the Tower Theatre. I believe the issues of rezoning and putting local businesses in the Tower District at risk by allowing a church to purchase the property can be resolved with the City's acquisition of the theater. I am a homeowner in the Tower District and I believe this is the best way forward for the neighborhood and the City at large. It is imperative that Fresno leadership not only recognizes the historic and cultural value of landmarks and neighborhoods, but works to preserve and sustain their vibrancy. I support the City of Fresno's move to purchase and preserve the Tower Theatre. Thank you.

I support the city buying the theatre. Please stay true to the Tower District Specific Plan, and preserve the theatre and its history. Fresno can't afford to lose another theatre to a church, especially a church that harasses its neighbors.

I full heartedly support this purchase. The tower theater is a cultural landmark and the heart of Fresno’s most vibrant neighborhood. I think we should preserve the theater and maintain current zoning laws to ensure the integrity of Tower for years to come.

The Tower Theatre is a cultural landmark and purchasing it to protect it is simply logical stewardship of one the city’s iconic architectural treasures.

I oppose the city stepping in and trying to purchase the theater which is already in escrow. Where were the people who cared so much about tower at when Lawrence couldn't afford to keep the doors open any longer? Those people and the city are trying to intimidate and push adventure church out of a sale that is already in escrow. The council members only "care" cause it appeals to those in their area and makes them look good. Mayor Jerrry Dyer knows the truth & what should be done but is a coward and obviously a false Christian. Anyone in the right mind should not be ok with the city using their tax dollars to illegally push adventure church out of a private sale and purchase the theater. My tax dollars should be used for the list of things this city needs other than bullying a church out of a building they care more about than those who oppose the churches attempt to purchase.

I fully support the purchase of tower theatre by the city to preserve this historical site. I also support this action on the basis that a rezone of Tower would negatively impact Fresno’s economy, although not more felt than in the Tower district, and would be necessary if a church were to purchase the property. I think pastor Anthony and the fine congregation of Adventure church will be able to thrive outside of the Tower district, where the businesses that have worked hard to survive there would find greater challenges in relocating.

Adventure Church’s attempt to purchase the Tower Theatre was unlawful and done in bad faith. The City’s purchase of the theatre will help ensure the preservation of the culture of our neighborhood.

of course we support the city of fresno finally stepping up to buy the tower theatre at the owners insistance!!! buy out not bail out. we must insist on removing the current owner and the current renters, adventure church, from the premises and allow a community entity to run the theatre as it was intended...as a theatre! fresno state theatre department could be a good fit, as well as the neville's...the family that used to manage the theatre for the owner. tower theatre is the most recognizable icon in our city and will prevail. long live the tower!!! #towertothepeople

I strongly oppose the cities effort to come in and illegally push Adventure church out of a PRIVATE sell on something that is already in escrow! The weekly controversy is unnecessary and a waste of everyone’s time. The time and money being used to go against Adventure church, could be used to educated the community on what’s really going on! Do you even know what you are against? Have you taken the time to hear what the church is all about and what their culture is? How about that fact that protestors are being very disrespectful and getting in front of our children on Sunday mornings?
