Our city is all in need of animals getting spayed amd nuetered at low cost or free...as thos has become an issue. I also belive all breeders should be on hold for at least 2 years as we get things moving and adopt only. I believe we need no kill animal shekters and monies used to help the animals.
As a resident of Fresno that helps pick up, drop off, network Animals . The city needs more money allotted to Spaying and neutering of these helpless animals . The amount of 220k is nearly a JOKE to the amount of Animlals that need help. Something needs to change. We have sooo many animals euthanized because they are overbred and animal population are quadrupled. We must change this !!! It’s sickening to see the amount of euthanized animals because of lack of money. Where is it going ??? Please help the City of Fresno with the Money that is needed.

More of the budget needs to go towards helping these animals in our city! Many organizations are doing tremendous work fixing as many cats and dogs as possible, trying to control the massive overpopulation. If we can work to reduce the animal population, it will free up time and resources from people that are already burning out. A higher budget will greatly help this, which in turn will benefit everyone. Way too many cats and dogs are suffering and dying when they don’t need to be.
You have to be genuinely mentally retarded or blind to be incapable of looking around and seeing what a problem we have with loose stray and dumped animals. I’m not shocked though. The average IQ of a Fresnan doesn’t reach above room temperature so I shouldn’t have such high expectations of leadership that they be capable of using the six senses they were born with to take in the world around them. There isn’t even a point in making a legitimate argument in opposition to this because the cavemen reading this won’t be capable of understanding the point. Take yourself outside. Take a look around and see the countless dogs, pregnant, hurt, starving to death. Are you blind? Heartless? Funding for spay and neuter is an absolute must!!! The number of euthanized dogs daily in atrocious. Go to the shelter for a couple of days and see for yourself. Get out from behind the screen into real life and get a taste of our reality DAILY.

Out of 9.6 million dollars. 220,000 is not acceptable while you are spending 7.7 million of it on wages and benefits
We have a serious problem with cat and dog overpopulation and we need more money to help with those trying to solve the issue. These surgeries need to be more affordable because there are many that can't afford them and they can't even get into the Vets to get their animals fixed as well. On top of the Stray and feral problem we have here in Fresno and Clovis. We don't want kill shelters we lower the population of these animals by getting them fixed. We want to be able to TNR and that requires funding to help those trapping and for those facilitating and completing the operation. Please.... we are changing lives and we can't do it without you! Please increase the funding! It really needs to be in the Millions.

We are overrun with stray animals. We should be allocating no more than twice as much for spay and neutering. Reduce salaries, this is a gross misuse of budget.
I experience more “leave the animal where you found it, we’re over capacity” than ever in the 50 years I’ve lived here - the answer is a measles 220k for prevention? I’m disgusted. The budget maker should be investigated for misuse of funds.

We are putting to death animals at an alarming rate for room. I understand need for salaries but more need is needed to save lives to prevent further strain on the city.

I totally support the allocation of funds to be distributed to Spay and Neuter. This is the key to overpopulation at our shelters.

Fresno TNR is doing amazing job to rescue local animals which unfortunately requires a lot of fundings. They need every supports as possible.
