PLEASE vote to provide more funds for spay & neuters. We have excellent teams out in the city doing great work on helping get the feral/stray animal population under control. I personally have paid out of pocket for three cats to be spayed and neutered in the last year. Plus getting their shots, etc. These are community cats. Strays. This has helped immensely in our apartment complex where we have strays roaming. It makes a big difference in the quality of life in our city to take care of this important issue so the stray animal population gets under control.

Please communicate with Fresno T.N.R. which have spayed and neuter over 23,000 cats in the last couple of years. They have done this with all volunteers. With the cities financial support and Fresno T.N.R.’s expertise we could help eradicate so many unwanted animals that run the streets thank you.

We need more spay and neutering support by the county and the city. We also need support from the public. I’m very concerned with overpopulated animal shelters this causes many loose animals on the street without food without water. I have been an advocate for water Spicket near bus stops for animals and the homeless.
I believe that all Fresno residence deserve clean hands, a clean face and a place to get a drink of water

Our community needs spay and neuter! We are to overpopulation causing too many deaths we need a change, our shelter need this funding! In my own neighborhood I see to many homeless dog and cats, we can fix this!
We need to get to the root of this overpopulation problem in the valley and the only way to stop this is to support funding for spay and neuter! We need to make a difference!
We have a problem in my neighborhood right now by the 99 freeway and Polk people come in the track and leave there pregnant cats and kittens it’s getting to be a big problem and dogs every week if we don’t have more spade an and nip we would have hundreds of cats it this track we have been trapping for years but this year is really bad
Based on my personal experience as a Volunteer with the CC-SPCA, when they held Animal Shelter and Control contracts for both The City and County of Fresno and now with The FAC/Fresno Animal Center. As a Foster Family, Pet Adopter, at Animal Balance Spay/Neuter Events and on and off-site Adoption Events, I stand in support of this proposal to increase the funding provided for spay/neuter services. Not Free but an off-set to the hard cost of providing access to a $35 dollar +/- co-pay program. The City Council can look to the success of the current Low-Cost Programs provided through the partnership with the Vets of Animal Balance and The SF-SPCA, to see that this investment will be a Win-Win. With the broader availability of Low-Cost spay/neuter services the cost of Animal Control Services, Dog running at large, Dangerous Dog reports and dead animal pickup will be reduced in time.
I strongly support increasing the spy and neuter fund because many animals are DYING due to over population! These are defenseless animals that need to be fixed so there are no ore deaths!
Please support our local animal shelters. The work they do is instrumental in helping with the epidemic in our society of dumping animals. This funding would help their reach to service more of the valley and offer more lost services for pets.

TNR is an extremely worthy cause. The allocation of more funds will significantly aid in the reduction of feral births and the suffering of helpless animals. With the assistance of volunteers from Fresno TNR I was able to trap and spay/neuter twenty feral cats on my street. To consider the number of kittens (most destined to die in misery) that would be on the scene had it not been for stalwart efforts of Fresno TNR is sobering. The horror of the endless cycle of exponential reproduction resulting in starvation, disease and horrible deaths.TNR needs funding to continue and increase this valuable service.
