The appeal of this verdict by the City of Fresno may be part and parcel of how business is done at City Hall to save money, but it flies in the face of justice, the judgement already having been rendered in favor of the plaintiff with the facts being laid out and corroborated by testimony. Moreover, it is an affront to the many who have had to endure the dignity of their humanity being called into question by the use of the racial epithet used against Mrs. Wilson, by the indignity and the shamelessness of those who have used it and still use it under the guise of being remorseful after the fact, but intentional before. The damage has been done, and enough is enough! Render under to Mrs. Wilson what she is due per the judgement of the court!

I oppose the City's appeal in this matter of LaKebbia Wilson vs. The city of Fresno. The jury has already rendered a substantial and well-considered verdict after years of litigation, reflecting the serious and lasting harm caused by prolonged discrimination. Extending this case further would not only place a burden on taxpayers but also prolong the hardship endured by the plaintiff, who has already faced years of emotional, physical, and personal turmoil. NO amount of a monetary award can fully restore what has been lost in the life of the plaintiff. The current verdict serves as an important measure of accountability. Continuing to contest it only minimizes the severity of the misconduct and delays closure for everyone involved.

I am in full support of the city of a non appeal. Justice has been served. Mrs. Wilson deserves the award due to the city’s continued mishandling Mrs. Wilson, lack of transparency and continued tolerance for this type of behavior. I am appalled that the perpetrators are still employed by the city which shows there is continued lack of accountability. I urge you to not cont to waste my tax dollars on appealing a case that has been rectified by the jury. Please use this as a learning lesson to everyone else that might consider this same inappropriate behavior. Mrs Wilson deserves the win, not only for her but for everyone else that has been mistreated and overlooked without a voice.

I support not appealing the decision of the jury for case name: LaKebbia Wilson vs City of Fresno. The jury has heard and seen all evidence presented and made a decision accordingly. The harm done to Mrs Wilson over the course of many years can never be repaid to her in time which is most precious. The City needs to take responsibility for not protecting her and for allowing her to be subjected to disparate treatment and racial discrimination. Take ownership and finally do what is right in the best interest of Mrs Wilson. Not only did she suffer but her family did as well.

The City needs to stop paying and using Mandy Jeffcoach and her firm as their attorneys. She spent the trial attacking Ms. Wilson and characterizing her as the problem. That strategy backfired. Clearly.

Correction: Allocating additional public funds to challenge this outcome would be irresponsible.

I strongly support the verdict and against an appeal. Leadership must stop placing blame on previous administration when most of them are still there. It’s time to take accountability. and stop the accrual of further legal costs.

I strongly support the decision not to appeal the jury’s verdict in La-Kebbia Wilson v. City of Fresno. The evidence presented makes clear that Ms. Wilson was subjected to inappropriate treatment, and the jury’s decision reflects that reality. Allocating additional public funds to challenge this outcome would not be irresponsible, particularly given that the employee involved remains with the City. The focus should instead be on accountability, transparency, and meaningful corrective action.
