I am completely & utterly disgusted at how the City of Fresno prioritizes developers over public projects. It's b/c they make the money maker go brrrrrrr $$$

Fresno’s overall infrastructure is very poor if you don’t live in a “good” area. (North of Shaw/Herndon are the segregating lines.) If you live in North Fresno then you don’t really have it that bad and should probably shut up and try living South of Shaw before you talk about diverting funds from areas that actually need them.

Where you live also determines how you get to work. Most people go by car because, unfortunately, THIS CITY WAS BUILT FOR CARS. Why do you think it takes forever to walk anywhere in North Fresno? People without cars don’t really live NWF, (usually tied to income) But North Fresno has all the nice bike lanes for expensive road cycling because that’s where the money is. Hmmmm why are collisions prioritized further when the cyclist has an expensive bike?

Those buying homes in Fresno are not middle class due to extreme income disparity.. They are upper middle class or upper class. Not only do they have nice backyards but nice bike lanes/roads/trails/parks.

Fresno has one of the worst park/walk/bike scores in the nation because of how segregated this city is, racially AND economically.

People who do not have the privilege of getting to choose where they live get scraps. And no one deserves SCRAPS when there is plenty to share.

These sound like great projects. I'm most curious about the pop-up bike facilities on Palm and Belmont.

This would go by the Lowell Community Garden.

While I'm not a resident in the area, Belmont Ave could be a great bicycling route for people to access Roeding Park considering Olive and Weber is a mess for pedestrians to walk across. Considering that current High-Speed Rail Plans are for the Belmont subway to be replaced with an overpass that is shorter than the steep ones that have been built already. Belmont ave will likely be the easiest road for West Fresno residents to bike or walk across Highway 99 and High-Speed Rail.

A future permanent Class IV cycling track crossing the High-Speed Rail tracks and Highway 99 should be prioritized.

While acknowledging that all of these projects do require matching funds from the city during a financial crisis, all of these projects will be worth it, by making Fresno more walkable and bikeable.
