Due to the repeated public failure on homeless ban propositions, my feeling is that any and all City Council members who continue to take up said propositions are wasting our time, money, & are committing a treasonous act. They're not looking for solutions, but more money with which to line their pockets. I completely understand, the people pushing these propositions have had millions spent in their neighborhoods to beautify and protect them. But to the detriment of the rest of Fresno. Most of Fresno is hungry and poor thanks to other "solutions" passed by the CC. The issue at hand is simple, this was and is the CC's continuous failure and punishing them or us is not any kind of solution.
I find it very troubling that, once again, the City Council is attempting to push through yet another measure criminalizing homelessness. Mr. Bredefeld, who thought it appropriate to waste taxpayers time and money advocating for an "In God We Trust" sign, wants to push forth a measure that would criminalize charity. How does this make sense? It's so odd that in an area hellbent on pushing "Christian values", something like acts of charity would come under fire. Mr. Bredefeld, and the other members that keep trying to push through these hurtful, anti-Christian agendas, need to take a long hard look at themselves and their problematic politics - this is not, nor will ever be, a solution.
