I don’t think facial recognition is necessary. I’m a black man and I know some of these systems are known to have bias against people of color. I dont want to be profiled by a robot if I need to pay my water bill at city hall. I ideally don’t want to see sex offenders anywhere near city hall but I don’t think there is much you guys can do to prevent one from entering if they live in Fresno. If the city of Fresno has a budget issue then I don’t think it makes sense to use city money to pay for research that will show they can’t do much. I just don’t think this is a good law (as a black man and someone who doesn’t want to waste money)

Like so much this city council does, this is a “solution in search of a problem.” No wonder the City is financially bankrupt.
